Shortly after midnight tonight I was awakened by a strong heat and smoke that filled the whole room. As soon as I opened my eyes, I saw that my desk and computer chair were on fire. I instinctively took a bottle of water, and fortunately managed to stop the fire in time. Although after finding out that it was the power bank that was on fire I realized that putting it out with water was not the best idea, fortunately it probably didn't bother anyone and I prevented more damage. I was really lucky that I woke up in time, it was enough to have a few more minutes to be in flames and my bed, and other things. In the end I only lost the powerbank, the original apple usb-c cable, the computer gaming chair, and the raspberry pi microcomputer that was lying too close to the powerbank (and part of the burnt table, but that can probably be repaired). It turned out as well as it could have, and I was very lucky. Nevertheless, I feel the need to write this review to warn others. Powerbanks can be very dangerous, and I recommend everyone to focus more on what you are buying. At the same time, I absolutely do not understand how it is possible from a quality Czech brand fixed that there are not sufficient systems that would stop charging or would in any way prevent what happened.
