after moving from apple, I regret not going in sooner
time will tell, so far perhaps only not quite perfect Face ID in dark conditions but that should hopefully solve the update

I switched from the base Pixel 8 and I have to say that the change (for the better) is more than noticeable, more modern look, better camera, better display and much more. Who wants a clean android, quality camera without compromise, so definitely Pixel.
optimization (the best android can have)
camera, camera, camera
100x zoom (AI can really do wonders)
great 120Hz display
excellent sunlight legibility
Quality of workmanship
Qi2 with magnet
super speakers
7 years of updates
a bunch of AI features
Gemini
with scrapping action at a super price
G5 processor (yes, it still lags behind the competition performance-wise, but Google finally started making it itself for AI computing needs, not for benchmark numbers)
quality selfie camera
still slow charging by comparison (30w wired, 15w wireless)
some AI features unavailable in the Czech Republic

I was really looking forward to the phone - my S23 is getting old and I wanted better photos, which Pixel fulfilled to an asterisk. The mobile itself is really beautiful. But after logging in, the first problems started - the gallery doesn't work (access rights collision - solved by system update), then the inability to pair the mobile with the TV to view the photos properly (google doesn't support Miracast, you need to buy a special Google cast device or find some app that allows it, chat gpt as the best option advises HDMI cable WT*? Frustration is growing. The color tuning of the display is strongly pastel, what makes the Pixel beautiful photos, you will know in real life only when it is moved somewhere. After a couple of hours of tuning, I'm getting the colors to at least a somewhat acceptable saturation. I'm finding that app icons can be turned into gingerbread men (faded but cool). My hands hurt, my fingers itch. What's that? Yes, the cell phone with the case is a quarter of a pound. Chat gpt advises a different grip, buying a loop or stand. I'm taking off the wrapper, but I'm still using the old S23 more and more (still lighter even with the wrapper) and you know what, what good are perfect photos when a brick makes them. Samsung, welcome back! The Pixel goes back to Alza, which surprises me very pleasantly with an express return. Thank you. Thank you.

I've had everything from Apple since 2015, got rid of everything six months ago, and of course the biggest impact was the phone. The iPhone has bored me extremely after all these years, and the new design has stopped entertaining me altogether. So I decided to go Android after all these years. The first one I tried was the Samsung S25 Ultra, which was an absolutely terrible phone - lots of things didn't work, animations were constantly jerky (finger unlock animations and quick panel), Netflix kept skipping frames, and the phone was more trouble than joy. I returned the phone because I thought it was a defective piece and bought it again (this time the 512GB version). I was experiencing the exact same thing, so a big disappointment for me - I later found reddit posts in which this is discussed in detail and found that it is quite common with Samsung. Then I tried OnePlus which was miles away from Samsung in terms of animations and smoothness, but I missed the "premiumness" I was used to from the iPhone. I ended up with the Pixel, and it was exactly what I was looking for. Yes, the processor isn't the fastest, but everything is beautifully smooth, the phone feels absolutely premium and the design is absolutely luxurious. Everything works as it should, updates are immediate and regular. I don't want another phone. If you're considering switching from iOS like I did, take the Pixel and save yourself the hassle.
Clean and usable Android
The phone has a very premium feel
The highest quality and most faithful photo processing of any Android phone
Quality speakers
Always the latest Android updates, including Google Drops
Animations are absolutely smooth and unique
Since Apple started making absolutely hideous phones, this is currently the number one phone design
Absolutely fabulous LTPO display (10bit)
Fast fingerprint reader
Face unlock for banking apps too
Super features like "Now Playing"
Pixelsnap (Magsafe)
100x AI Zoom
16GB RAM
7 years of updates
Thermometer
AI Features and Integrated Gemini
Slow charging
Worse app optimization than on iOS (e.g. social networks and Spotify) - but this applies to all Android phones
Video isn't the worst, but it's not the best either - the video boost feature helps, but you'll be waiting hours for a video
More limited native apps for shooting photos and videos
The video doesn't have LOG format, which is a great pity for me
It's not a gaming cannon, but all apps and features run absolutely smoothly and stutter-free

I replaced my basic Samsung s25 with the Pixel 10 Pro and I can't praise it enough. The main reason was the photos, which are better processed and noticeably sharper on the Pixel. Processor-wise, it may not be the absolute top of the line, but I really haven't had a phone that hasn't kept up (I don't judge intense gaming). In some respects, I miss Samsung's OneUI tweaks, but as a "less demanding user" I don't feel fundamentally deprived (and the functional AirDrop was a nice surprise). So if you're looking for Android with a minimalist body, you like to take photos and you don't want Chinese phones, go for it!

Price. It's not worth a full bat in our area. When the Pixel gets a flagship processor and better video, so be it. I'd rather wait for a discount for now; )

I switched from the Asus Zenfone 9, before that I had the Pixel 3 and before that the Google Nexus 5X, so I kind of knew what I was getting into, the big positive change from the Asus is the cameras, the photos are nice, although maybe not the most perfect on the market, but mostly pleasing, the phone doesn't heat up dramatically even with normal games, everything is smooth and the transition from the Asus was completely seamless, until I was a little surprised at how fast it was. Compared to the Asus, which also had almost pure Android, it lacks some tweaks, such as a mode for controlling the phone in thin gloves, more customization of the quick start menu, more detailed settings for battery charging, but overall I'm happy with the Pixel and hope to be for the next few years.
Tolerable size, it's not a useless giant and the design is overall nice, although that's a matter of each individual's opinion
It takes nice photos, I haven't tried the videos in detail yet
Fingerprint unlocking works fine and fast, you just need to choose a good glass
Secure face unlock - doesn't work in the dark, but is convenient in the light
A system without unnecessary ballast
Always fresh android for years to come
Wireless charging with magnets
Beautiful LTPO display with sufficient brightness even in direct sunlight
Perfect sound when on the phone, the other party usually has no idea that I am in a busy environment, I also hear everything nicely
The battery could last longer, it's probably for every phone, but it lasts about a day
Performance in benchmarks is not great, but for normal use it is fine and nothing crashes
I never liked the original Google launcher, but fortunately android is still free enough to choose from a variety of alternatives
480Hz PWM, it's twice as much as the Pixel 9 had, but you have to turn it on in the settings, on the other hand the Chinese can handle 1000Hz and more and some people's eyes or head may hurt from low values

for those who write that it "overheats", the fact that aluminium is warmer means that it dissipates heat well, not that the phone overheats: D
photo modules + postprocessing
great battery life
does not overheat
design
probably the best operating system as far as androids are concerned (almost pure android with extra cool features)
lower charging speed than for example Xiaomi
