The phone is very good. It has an ideal size, an excellent display and also excellent hardware. For that price you get the Tensor G4, which is a derivative of the Exynos 2400 which is a mobile processor that even today costs about 20k. The camera is great, even though it only has a macro and wide angle lens, the photos are great. The AI integration is hilarious and I hope it will only get better. 7 years of support, including feature updates, is a great deal that you won't find anywhere else. I like that it doesn't have a protruding camera compared to the Pixel 8a. The phone is snappy at work and so far I haven't observed any hitches. At higher loads it heats up.

I was looking for a mobile phone for several days trips to the countryside, i.e. long battery life and at the same time compact size and reasonable weight. I'm not a fan of armoured phones that can withstand a rock fall but weigh half a kilo. Pixel 9A meets my expectations so far. Two-day trip with sleeping under a tent lasted on one charge (exactly 36 hours from 100% to 10%, dark theme on all the time), while I did not save it - maps + GPS, mobile internet, camera, chat app, flashlight - I took it out of my pocket at least 3 times an hour. Moreover, it is easy to read even in bright sunlight. With my normal work schedule, it is able to handle 3 days. When I'm in the office, I touch my phone minimally, I do everything via computer.
