I ordered the iPhone 17Pro (along with the regular version) on September 14th as part of a pre-sale. But my phones didn't arrive until November 3. I admit that I had the urge to cancel the order completely several times - the waiting time was really long and I don't really understand how it is possible that some people got their phone right away, even though they ordered it a month later. It makes you wonder what the point of pre-ordering is. In addition, I was getting a lot of emails about availability - often it was complete spam. Some reports even promised specific delivery dates, which were then quietly changed back to "indefinitely". But as for the phone itself, I have to admit that it looks much better in real life than in photos or videos. It looked pretty bland in pictures, but in person it's a real gem. On the other hand, the new iOS hasn't impressed me much so far - visually it reminds me of the old Windows 7 with the Aero effect and, in my opinion, it has double the battery consumption. Fortunately, the new iPhones have a larger battery capacity and better battery life, so Apple probably saw this coming.

The aluminum design of the phone is very nice and I am personally very happy with it. I was switching from an iPhone 14 and my main requirements were a higher quality display and photo modules. At the moment I have not come across any shortcomings. The button for triggering the camera is good for me, but you can always fit something extra to it (for example, a fingerprint). The photomodule itself is good, and the forks are noticeably better than on a phone from 2022. I'm slightly disappointed by the battery life, but currently that's more a feature of iOS 26 than the phone itself. iOS 26.1 should fix this.
