I was absolutely thrilled with these headphones! The workmanship is awesome, I definitely had a good feeling about them. The headphones fit very well in my ears. The mobile app is by far the most sophisticated of all - it allows you to set up almost everything I could imagine. ANC was very decent, almost the best I have tried so far with TWS headphones in this price range.
Before using it, I was amused by a sentence from the enclosed "manual" (which, by the way, is absolutely useless; can only amuse, see below): "Do not install the product in confined spaces such as
library or built-in closet. “. After a long-lasting fit of laughter, I tried to check the English version. Well, given that in English this sentence had the same meaning, there was probably either a misunderstanding on my part (why the hell should I. no nothing), or a translation error from a language other than AJ, or Sony is really dead serious. That it also states "Do not use the unit while walking, driving or cycling. " is even more strange. Especially given the marketing presentation of the headphones (e.g. in the official video on their product page on sony.com), where users are captured doing just these activities: -) But I gave little importance to that. It was the product itself that was important, not the piece of paper attached to the headphones. But the initial enthusiasm was replaced by dismay, which turned into despair and finally into disgust. Unfortunately, on the same day I unboxed the headphones, I experienced a headphone bug, where when I turned on ANC or "Hear Through"(? ) mode quite loudly, even very annoyingly, the right earpiece made a noise. I called Sony support, who confirmed that unfortunately this is a known bug, which they say they are working on. I was told that this bug will hopefully be fixed with the next firmware update of the headphones. Unfortunately, the support team didn't know when that might be (next week? a month? year? ). From the information available, I'm really not the only one who has encountered this - and Sony should have known this for a few months. I thought I would simply overcome this for now by not using ANC and wait for the update. Unfortunately, however, I later discovered that the headphones made a very noticeable noise when used for calls. And this time both of them, regardless of the mode that was currently active. The other side was hardly heard at all. Most importantly, after a while, I'd rather pierce both ears from the noise. respectively. I'd probably throw the headphones away. When I added to this the fact that, again like other headphones with touch (buttonless) control, the buttons work even after they are removed from the ears (i.e., that when they are removed and then held in the hand, they randomly switch modes, trigger music, etc. ), so unfortunately I had no choice but to return them. (Why don't the manufacturers disable the @#$%&$ buttons when they are removed from the ears?! From a SW point of view, it's a triviality, isn't it? ) Too bad. I hope that Sony will overcome these mistakes soon, and I will have the opportunity to try the headphones again, so that I can rewrite my review. At this point, however, I have to rate the headphones as unusable.
