I solved it with a rubber band that I pushed under the plate and threaded onto the control wheel of the clamp tightening screw. After these adjustments the phone in gel. the cover holds firm, tested in rough terrain for the first 50 km. As an improvement, two strips of thin rubber can be glued into the grooves on the board to prevent the phone from slipping when used without the gel cover.
