When I need to connect my headphones to a PC with Sound Blaster, and I need someone to hear me, the only solution is this splitter. One end to the in and the other to the out and off you go. Well there is a little worse sound then in the headphones but so what. As long as other people can hear me.

It's working as it should.
The microphone and headphones are distinguished only by a small symbol. I would prefer resolution using standardized colors to make it easy to plug in even in the dark.

I'm sorry, I don't know where the error is, but it probably occurred during the description in the factory, in short this is NOT a reduction for OMTP headphones. According to the wiring (verified by ohmmeter), the female is wired according to CTIA standard (the outermost segment of the female is connected to the signal segments on the MIC connector - in OMTP wiring the outermost segments should be connected to each other, GND). So, if you don't have a soundbar with a smart input that autodetects the connection, either get another cable or get a reduction from OMTP to CTIA.
