I switched from the Samsung S23 and I have to say that the Xiaomi 17 pleasantly surprised me. The phone has super performance, a lightning fast finger reader and a very nice size that feels great in the hand. The battery lasts superbly even under heavy use and the camera delivers excellent results. I also like the interface customization options, which are above standard. It's just that the transition from Samsung isn't entirely painless - more because of Android and the ecosystem than Xiaomi itself. Overall though, an excellent phone that I recommend.

I've only had it for a day, but the display really got me - it's the first phone I can see reasonably well in direct sunlight. Design-wise it's a blast, it feels compact in the hand and the thin bezels look really luxurious. So far the enthusiasm is prevailing, I just hope that the system won't start to slow down because of the tons of animations in HyperOS.
