I switched to the Xiaomi 17T from the already almost three years old 13T. The phone was pleasantly surprised at first by its compact dimensions, thanks to which it fits just right in the hand and can even be operated with one hand. The entire front side is covered by a 120Hz OLED display, which is awesome in terms of colour processing and maximum brightness. The interior is powered by the Dimensity 8500 ultra processor, which admittedly in this price range is not quite the most powerful option, but it certainly does not let you be ashamed and the performance is absolutely sufficient. The 13T has had occasional problems with microlags or stalling in more demanding situations, here I have to say there has been a marked improvement with this one and it practically doesn't happen with the 17T. As is Xiaomi's custom, we meet here with the Hyper OS extension (in version 3 on Android 16), which is not quite for everyone, but it must be said that Xiaomi has worked a lot here and makes a much better and clearer impression than several years old versions. On the other hand, it won't really be right for lovers of minimalistic pure android. Only 67W charging is a bit of a pain, which from 0 to 100% charges the phone in an hour (according to gsmarena). I would have liked something a little better at that price. The battery life per charge is then very solid thanks to the relatively large battery. But what is most interesting about this phone is the camera system and especially the very hilarious 50 MPx periscopic telephoto lens with 5x zoom. For those who like to take pictures of landscapes, nature, animals, etc. on their mobile phone, this phone has no competition in the price range and is the obvious choice. The main 50 MPx sensor is also awesome giving great photos even in low light and according to 13T it's a step up. What lags a bit is the wide-angle lens, which is rather average. As far as processing is concerned, the 17T still has a plastic frame, but on the other hand it looks very solid and I wouldn't see it as a problem. In conclusion, I would like to praise the haptic response, which has subjectively also improved a lot between generations.
