With the purchase of a newer phone, I was mainly waiting for the promised increase in battery capacity, which actually came this year. With the new Xiaomi 17T Pro compared to the Redmi, I gained: - eSIM - 5G - significantly better camera quality - more battery capacity Compared to the Redmi Note 10 Pro, I miss: - jack connector - second speaker on the top of the phone - SD card option (that's why I'm getting a 1TB phone, and even then I don't think it's enough) The increase in battery capacity comes at the cost of a slightly thicker phone, in a small hand so it is slightly worse to grip and control compared to the Redmi. Otherwise, they are dimensionally similar, even thanks to the smaller frame, the Xiaomi 17T Pro screen itself is wider, although both phones are otherwise almost the same in size. With the increase in battery capacity is also related to the slightly higher weight of the device, and the weight of the adapters, 120W charger (which I bought) is significantly heavier than 33W (about twice). Unfortunately, every gram counts on the road. The phone doesn't mind a more powerful charger, it charges normally at 100W, I expect it shouldn't overheat that much. The only thing that bothers me right now is the inferior home screen UI and icon layout and size, which I'm hoping could be fixed with an update. The Xiaomi 17T Pro currently only has 4x6, 4x7 and 5x9 options. With the 5x9 that I have set up, the icons are already too small, and can't be made significantly larger even with the settings. I'd like a 5x6 or 5x7 (and I hope Xiaomi reads this in addition to the users here and fixes it).
