I didn' t learn from the reviews and bought the device. On the older TV, the device was constantly rebooting itself. I tried powering from the mains via the supplied adapter as well as powering from the TV' s USB. I also tried on a newer TV and the same problem. So I returned the device and paid extra for the 4k variant, which works without problems.

On one TV it kept restarting every 10 seconds. I won' t describe the long anabasis of how I came up with it, but: The problem is that the device seems to draw more current. If a USB from the TV or a USB transformer that has e. g. OUTPUT 5V - 1A is not enough and there is a constant restart. If I used the OUTPUT 5V - 2A transformer, the device works without a problem.
