I purchased this light to replace the original light in the hood. My electricity went out somewhere inside the hood, and even when I put a new bulb in it doesn't work. Fine but then I found a charger from an older olympus camera at home and that was better. After charging the light I magnetically attached it to the hood which is metal so ok and my satisfaction with the light could begin. When I cook, I turn on the motion sensor activation. So if I'm not standing at the stove the light goes out and when I go to stir the food etc. it'll light up. When the cooking is done, I turn off the light (deactivate the motion) and that's it. Since I cook once a week I don't worry about having to recharge the light often. I was afraid that the strength of the light will be small but it is stronger than the original bulb in the hood. And it illuminates a much larger area.
