This is one of the few 5:4 format monitors still available, and from a reputable manufacturer, so my disappointment was really big. The viewing angles of my piece of monitor were absolutely terrible. The colours could not be adjusted - grey was looking straight ahead with a strong red tinge (or when set to another colour mode it changed to the dominant colour in that mode) and even just a slight turn of the head made the whole image even worse and completely lost contrast. The drastic reduction in contrast helped to some extent, but unfortunately this resulted in an image that was like being "in a fog". Of course, there was also the IPS-glow effect, which was really extremely strong here (working in the terminal emulator was basically impossible). This was topped off with a flickering backlight at lower brightness settings. The flicker frequency was getting to a tolerable level for me somewhere around the factory setting of 75%, which led to a worsening of the IPS glow effect. I don't know if I was unlucky with the piece, or if they occur in all of them, but in the end I had to return the monitor (here I thank Alza for the fast processing and the possibility of sending it via Alzabox), because it was absolutely unusable for me.
