I've been using iOttie holders for a long time, so I knew what I was getting into. It's all about their gel suction cups, which are probably the best ever. Even on rougher decking they hold up great and fall off 1-2 times a year and only in the hottest heat. Missing from the description on the card is that the bottom stops are adjustable, so the center of inductive charging can be easily adjusted. I consider mechanical catching significantly more convenient, because I really don't want my phone to fall out when I turn off the ignition, or to mine it out with just the key. The iOttie has a luxuriously gentle catch lock = just put the phone in the holder and it grabs it right away. Removing it means pressing two buttons on the sides, and that doesn't bother me at all. Using the telescopic adjustment, I positioned the mobile so that the air conditioning blows on it in summer. Today it was 25° and after 100km it was just lukewarm. The security camera and navigation were running on the cell phone. After 100km with full operation, the battery went up by 10% - so it can handle both demanding apps and still cover a little bit. But it's a fact that I've turned down the brightness of the display slightly. I have reached the maximum in the configuration, because I have set Autostart with Parrot (handsfree) on the Autoguard cam. So when I get to my car, I throw my phone in the holder and start it up = charging starts. The shock activates the HF Parrot and its connection to the mobile phone automatically activates the camera. I have multiskating set to Waze in my camera, so it also starts navigation right away. I'll just enter the target. At the finish I leave the car, disconnecting from the Parrot turns off the camera and with it the navigation. This has been a dream of mine for a long time and it really works. When checking the camera footage, I found that I had to lift the phone up one tooth, because the shot (in landscape) captures a bit of the mount arm and refocuses on it. But that's my problem, not the bracket's.
