If you have a quiet PC like me, you can hear it working. If the HDD is louder than the fans in the PC, I think it's just not good. The disc is a good one, unfortunately it still has the cartridge that my previous disc of the same brand went on. It's the taper at the beginning of the power connector. The connector is literally pinched and only a very thin cable connects it. After a few years, it won't last and the drive's electronics will be wiped out. But the seemingly standard connector is different and unavailable, so you can't replace it. The whole adapter at first overpriced, then nesehnatelny, and so you still have to buy the disk, even if it survived. I recommend fixing the connector into something solid as soon as possible so that it cannot bend.
