Wacom's new tablets come with a rougher surface, and significantly softer pen tips, so expect to change them very often. Older tablets from the same manufacturer do not suffer from this problem, it is a novelty that surprised me very unpleasantly. After only a few hours of work I noticed a noticeable flattening of the pen tip, and with daily use the tip won't last you more than a week. The use of this tablet becomes very expensive very quickly, given that a pack of 5 spare tips costs about 160 CZK. Arguments such as "the user is pushing the pen too hard" or that "this is intentional to make working with the tablet more like drawing on paper" are nonsense, given that the tips of the older generation lasted several months with the same workload. This is a similar model to inkjet printers, where you overpay the purchase price many times over on replacement cartridges with extended use.
