After about three years with the Samsung A53, I switched to the Xiaomi 17T. Hardware-wise, I'm happy - the phone is fast, has a great display and the narrower shape makes it easier to hold in my hand than the A53. Everything runs smoothly and overall feels like a significant step forward. But I am much less comfortable with the HyperOS Android superstructure. I am bothered by the large number of pre-installed applications and also that some functions are unnecessarily duplicated - there are applications from Xiaomi and Google for the same activity. Compared to Samsung, I find the interface less clear and I miss some features I was used to. Overall, I rate the Xiaomi 17T positively, but in terms of software, I think Samsung has a significant advantage.
