The IP68 protection rating indicates the degree of resistance of an electronic device against dust and water. The first digit “6” means that the device is completely dustproof, so no solid particles can enter it. The second digit “8” guarantees protection against continuous immersion in water under conditions specified by the manufacturer. In practice, this means that headphones or a speaker can withstand continuous submersion in water, with the specific depth and duration always needing to be verified in the product manual.
