Hardwired to vehicle electrical system

Hardwiring to the vehicle's electrical system is a method of powering a dash cam directly from the vehicle's fuse box, instead of from the standard 12V cigarette lighter socket. This keeps the socket free for other devices and allows the power cable to be routed discreetly under the trim, preventing it from obstructing the view. The main advantage, however, is the ability to utilize the so-called "parking mode". In this mode, the camera records even when the vehicle is parked and locked. A special hardwiring kit is used for this connection, which includes protection against car battery discharge. This protection ensures that the camera automatically switches off if the battery voltage drops below a safe level, thus preventing its complete discharge.
