The TV has a very good picture after manual adjustment, but the manufacturer's software solution unnecessarily lets down the overall impression. The default AI features tend to degrade the picture – colours are unnaturally oversaturated and both coloured and black patches appear. However, once you turn these features off and adjust the picture yourself, the result is very nice and the viewing angles are absolutely fine. The matte screen surface is great at eliminating reflections from lamps and chandeliers.
The system is snappy, and I also praise the stable stand, which allows cables to be hidden behind it and lets the TV stand close to the wall. What bothers me the most is the requirement to register, send data, and the ads in the menu – yet these things are not needed at all for the TV to function. Although the remote is comfortable to hold, the coloured buttons are hidden deep in the menu and cannot be remapped, which I eventually solved by using an older remote control.
Matte screen: Excellent at dampening all light reflections in the room.

The Samsung QE55S90H TV itself is top-notch in terms of both picture quality and functionality. The OLED panel offers perfect blacks, high contrast and excellent brightness even during the day. Motion is smooth, input lag when gaming is minimal and the Tizen system is lightning fast. However, the paid installation service from Alza was a huge disappointment. The technicians seemed reluctant and in a rush – instead of a professional installation and basic demonstration of the TV, they just quickly hung/set it up, didn't bother with settings or tidying up the packaging material at all, and left immediately. I rate the product itself 5/5, but I definitely do not recommend the additional installation service.

In one word, brilliant! I thought I still had a good TV, but I was very wrong. I originally bought it because of the size, not the picture quality. In the shop it doesn't look anywhere near as good as it does at home. On top of that, I was worried about the smart home screen and the small remote control, and at first, I used a set-top box from T-Mobile, which by the way paired beautifully, but by the third day I'm switching to just the TV. The picture is gorgeous and the sound is also great. It's well worth the money!

I upgraded from an 8-year-old 50" Samsung LED and the progress is really noticeable. You have to get used to the interface, but it's nothing major. There's an option to use it as a smart home hub. Compared to the older TV, browsing anything is really fast, with minimal waiting for apps to launch. Great remote, although it's plastic and you can't stand it upright anymore, but it's comfortable. I don't know if the packaging differs from other countries, but there was no basic button remote with batteries (a spare) included in the box, even though the papers (manual) list it as part of the package. Also, I didn't quite get the wide bezels – the right and top ones are thinner than the bottom and left ones, but it doesn't stand out in everyday use. Great connectivity, easy installation (I set it up by myself), and 55" is actually quite lightweight.

Alza made us sign some document about how the TV should be transported (upright only), so we were careful and unpacked it very gently according to the instructions. It is really thin, so we treated it with respect.
Once turned on, there is a huge difference compared to our 16-year-old Samsung LE40C650 LED TV, which belonged to the upper-middle class back then. The picture is much brighter, blacks are truly black, but it doesn't handle whites very well – either it's overexposed so you can't see details in white areas, or when you turn down the brightness, it looks a bit greyish. The screen has absolutely no glare. The sound is also very good, and you can even hear some bass in music. The remote is minimalist and quite intuitive to use, but it's a shame there is no red button for quick access to the catch-up TV archives – you have to click your way to it in 3 clicks (1x settings + 2x scroll wheel). I like the volume control and channel switching. You can switch channels up and down with a single button, and holding it down takes you to the TV guide. Overall, both the TV and the remote feel premium.
