Make sure you have the latest BIOS on your board before installing it. The processor may not get along with older RAM. I had a Patriot Viper Elite gray 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 2666 CL16 and it wouldn't even boot into the BIOS. After replacing the RAM to the newer Kingston FURY 32GB KIT DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Beast Black 1Gx8 everything works as it should. With my Scythe 4000 Ninja 4 and EVOLVEO Ptero TC 1 paste, it's a cool 38C. Under load (War Thunder in 4k) 60C. Measured via AIDA64 Extreme. Which I think is a perfect result.
