Three months ago I bought two pieces for my home lab for use in a VMware ESXi 7.0 environment. It works absolutely without problems, without the need to "bend" the drivers in any way, so it is natively supported. Performance as expected, I was able to shut down the still unsupported Fusion-io card and the much more power-hungry SAS drives. Everything you need is included, including a passive cooler. With a slight force, it was possible to mount the AXAGON PCEM2-N card with a cooler and install two of these cards on top of each other in the PCIe slots of the PowerEdge R720, where there is not much space, yet thermally even under heavy load within reasonable limits. At this point I'm going to buy another one, definitely a good choice for the price, unless of course it dies in another three months. According to the parameters, it shouldn't.
