I also have the Airpods Pro 2 and so I can compare that these headphones are no better except for one thing - they are much more comfortable and if you have the headphones in your ears for X hours every day or even fall asleep with them, your ear will thank you for it. In the office it's a bit on the edge with noise cancelling, but it's still better with it than without it. Unfortunately, I hadn't realized until now how often I use volume up/down on the Pro 2 and these headphones don't have that. The sound is otherwise nice for a pair of headphones and it certainly doesn't lack bass. Compared to the Pro 2, however, it is a bit flatter. If you want the best, get the Pro 2. If you wear headphones for 4+ hours a day, I would recommend the Airpods 4, mainly for health reasons.

I switched from the Airpods 3 and they seem the same in sound quality comparison. I switched mainly because of the ability to turn on ambient sound dampening, which works relatively well. The first week I had a strong sensation of clammy ears when turning on the ANC, which persists until now but I don't notice it anymore. ANC works in software and the damping is therefore not always 100% and distorts the sound quality. When you find out how it actually works, you probably can't do it any other way anyway, so I don't take it as a minus.
