I've had the pencil for at least a month now and I have to admit that I hardly ever use any of the buttons on the pencil even when I draw with it. The material the pencil is made of is quite uncomfortable to the touch I miss the glass material on the 1st generation. I would have bought the 2nd generation but my ipad air 2024 only supports pro which is annoying since for the ipad itself it's quite a hit. Otherwise, it works as well as the previous generation.
Thickness and tension angle control

the pencil material is unpleasant to the touch
the haptic button is not much use
the only pencil option if you have an ipad air 2024 and you know: (

the price is too high, but you have to pay extra for a quality product

I occasionally use the Pencil to control the iPad, otherwise it's used for occasional quick notes, annotating screenshots, and the occasional quick sketch. The functionality of the USB-C version would have been enough, even possible alternatives around a thousand, but I didn't want to lose the ease of charging from the iPad without having to connect a cable, and the Pencil 2, which can easily be bought used with some of that savings, no longer works with the M2 Air.
Maximum stylus functionality on iPadOS
Can be seen in FindMy and possibly found
Haptic response to pressing and tapping. With the Apple Pencil 2, I often didn't know if the taps actually registered.
Wireless charging directly from the iPad
For me, infinite battery life

Although the price is really high (just under 4 thousand CZK), I have to say that it may be justified for professionals, for whom it is mainly intended, because the functions it brings are truly unique - the rotation of the pen determines the drawing angle of some tools; Replacing the physical button with a haptic motor, which is really nice and you get used to it very quickly.
The only drawback, however, is the double tapping, as it is not a "squeeze" of the pen, but really a tap, and so it can happen that you just accidentally touch the pen and switch the tool - for me it would be better to have to double tap quickly.
Both tap and squeeze options can also be set in the settings, so everyone can customize their own personalization.
