I'm comparing to a 500Kč device and this device is much more accurate and can tell exactly where the electricity is going if it's not in the pipe or too deep. The old machine beeped everywhere but where the cable was. this one can trace the same cable very accurately (and I know it really accurately, because we drilled it before buying it).
It's really easy to drill: -) even with "false" alarms one always moves the device with a calm conscience to where the device is quiet.
It seems to me that sometimes they report tension where there is none. But I won't hold my hand up for that: -) and I'd rather have a false alarm than none. After all, if you want really accurate measurements, there are instruments priced higher than 12k that certainly don't make mistakes.
