Very high quality colour laser printing, speed, automatic double-sided printing, easy operation via touch screen, maximum satisfaction so far. But the list of positives unfortunately ends there. Every quarter of an hour the printer automatically shuts down during the delay, it has to be manually switched on again and wait for the whole calibration process, it's terribly delaying. Although it is possible to set up prints of smaller formats up to postcard size, the tray for smaller formats cannot be pre-filled with paper, it must be fed through the insertion slot manually one sheet at a time and a format change must always be agreed. If I don't, the paper gets sucked in, but then it says the tray is empty. So you have to open and remove both trays (which is terribly complicated), take out the paper, close it, select format change and then put it back in. The golden predecessor of this cunning mutation, which unfortunately was discontinued, had a tray for small formats that was flip-up, could be prefilled with a larger number of sheets and the format change was set automatically simply by inserting the papers. Changing back to A4 was also simple - the small formats were removed and the tray snapped shut. So where's the progress now? Oh, and after a week of using the new printer, it's already "demanding attention". Before each print, the display says that the colour cartridges are almost empty and there is a risk of reduced print quality, which is obviously not a threat, but it is quite annoying. Could it be a marketing ploy by the toner supplier?

The printer prints well and its compact size is fine. However, HP as an established brand has disappointed with support and problems that I did not have with my previous printer (OKI LED) and did not have to deal with: after some time, the printer gets to a state where it is unavailable and does not respond to incoming print, nor can it be woken up via the control panel - yet it is not turned off, the power button is illuminated as if it were on (in the settings, automatic shutdown is disabled). Only a reboot will help. This problem is described and traceable on the Internet in many cases for various HP printers, but HP does not comment on it beyond the obligatory "update the firmware" (I have the latest) or "reboot the printer and router" (does not help at all). Recommendations from independent sources that the printer should have a static IP address also did not help. For someone who wants to have a printer available all the time I don't recommend it, for me it's not essential, just a bit inconvenient to go turn it on before printing or scanning. I am otherwise comfortable with the options of printing and scanning remotely or from my phone, for example. Of course, if I manually turn the printer on beforehand, so remote here means at home, not from anywhere with internet. Scanning and sending directly to email is useful too, and the duplex and scanning options are great, plus the ability to print on formats other than A4. Who cares about simple and high quality printing and scanning and does not mind the 24/7 unavailability (having to turn it on every time) will be satisfied.
Compatible
fast duplex printing and scanning with adequate quality
remote connectivity and printing/scanning options
scan to email
control interface on the printer and advanced remote setup via your own web server
low noise level
after some time it "goes into a deep sleep" and does not respond, it has to be restarted
only original toners (with chip)
