The body is plastic so no more sticky rubber. There is no rubber on the sides but silicone and it should last. Even though it is heavier it feels like it glides on the pad better than the MX 3s. So far I am very satisfied with the action ring which is fully adjustable as you need. It is also great that it can be pressed both down and sideways. Just like the MX 3s fits my big hand perfectly. The only thing I have to get used to is the transition between the left silicone part and the buttons. There's a bump that you feel and it's not as comfortable as the MX 3s where it was uniform. For me I definitely recommend it!
