I admit I'm biased because I really like Nintendo stuff, especially the original Switch. But I still tried to look at the new generation as objectively as possible and I have to say that it is a piece of premium hardware and it defends the price. Yes, it doesn't have OLED and if given the choice I'd definitely reach for it, but they still chose the best display they could in the category and it shows. The overall gameplay in handheld mode is terribly enjoyable and still makes the console feel special. The picture, sound and how well the console handles beautifully enhances the premium feel. I think it was definitely worth the wait and I don't regret a single penny. Perhaps the other cons for me are the smaller ROM memory, after all, in today's digi era is 515GB already such a standard and relatively short battery life, respectively. could have been better.

LCD display je pekny podla mna. FPS neriesim, sem tam vynimocne sek, ale inak to bezi maslovo v doku. Osobne nevidim rozdiel na Mario hrach medzi OG switch a dvojkou. Grafika je typicky nintendovska, nemusi to kazdemu sadnut. Mne sa paci hratelnost dostupna aj pre deti, ktore sa len s hranim hier zoznamuju. I'm moving directly from the original switch and for me I don't have much to complain about. A lot of people will tell you that OLED would be better, but I completely disagree. The screen is a really high quality LCD, with full hd resolution, vvr and HDR. Personally, between OLED and HDR I take HRD. But it doesn't matter in the end anyway, the screen doesn't get in the way of a great game experience and that's the main thing. Don't listen to people who just like to listen or have to have an opinion on everything, OLED doesn't matter that much and once you get a console in your hand and start playing you won't even remember it. That brings me to the game. The audio is really on another level, the original switch will forever sound like a tin can to me. Screen the same. The whole console is bigger and more comfortable to hold. The buttons, the levers, everything's been upgraded. Magnetic joycons also a major upgrade. When I first turned on Pokemon Scarlet I couldn't believe my eyes, the game can go absolutely perfect. I had a problem with XCOM 2 on the original, it was so bad I stopped playing it. It runs great on Switch 2. It really breathes new life into old games and I'm looking forward to the new ones. The only flaw is the plastic film on the screen, which is not supposed to come off. Since it is plastic it can be relatively easily permanently damaged. Therefore, I recommend that you equip the screen with protective glass or film as soon as possible. It's still a handheld console and performance will look accordingly, you can't expect ps5 performance in a multiple times smaller package and decent battery life, it's not physically possible. But what you can expect is very high quality premium hardware with Nintendo titles, with titles from big developers optimizing them for Switch 2 (unlike PC handhelds) and a large selection of indie games, just like on the original. So I can only recommend Switch 2, both as an upgrade from Switch 1 and for newcomers to Nintendo systems.

I got Switch 2 as my first console since ps3 and so far I'm happy. The selection of games is still very small and upgraded games from switch 1 cost full price, which I don't understand how an 8 year old game can cost 2000 CZK. Another disadvantage is that youtube, netflix and others are not supported. The browser is also missing which was quite a shock since my old ps3 has a web browser and youtube. I won't be returning it, but it's no substitute for playing on the PC. I recommend buying it for more affluent people, because games and other controllers are extremely expensive.

Hardware is again underdeveloped compared to the competition, 3rd party titles will traditionally be the worst versions, because even S2 has no more hardware. Nintendo's shortcomings will undoubtedly make up for the challenge and fun of 1st party titles, which sadly don't currently exist, except for the mediocre MK World. Also disappointing is the paid upgrade of older ports to Switch 2 versions and the generally aggressive software pricing policy that Nintendo is instituting with this generation. I think it's worth waiting a couple of years for an OLED version with a much larger selection of games.
