The reader jammed after less than 2 months and about 4 uses. My claim was not accepted due to a mechanical defect, respectively. cracked display (supposedly somewhere inside). No external damage. Alza did not take this into account even after my urging that it was probably a hidden crack that only became apparent after a few uses. In this short period of my ownership, there has been no incident that could have caused the fault and the reader shows no visible damage either. And the whole time it was in the protective case that I purchased at the same time as the reader. In another electronics shop (independent of Alza) I asked the technicians if it was possible that the fault did not appear immediately after the first switching on, but after about 4 and was told that of course it was possible. Hidden microcrack that started after a few touches (could have been a way during transport to the Alza box, on the way from the factory ... there are many possibilities). However, Alza is not interested in this fact, so I am forced to pay for a forensic expert. It may happen that the product purchased has a defect, but it must not happen that the customer does not seek redress from the trader. So the reader may be good, I haven't had a chance to sufficiently judge, but I don't recommend the dealer.
