Problem successfully rectified and cable from same manufacturer replaced with this one, when after 2 years the picture started flickering and at 4:4:4 completely dropping out. Neither the projector nor the receiver settings have been changed and both cables are optical 2.1. This one looks to be more valuable, so hopefully it will last longer. Sensitive installation into the protectors with as little bending as possible takes time.
