I switched from the Note20 Ultra and initially had doubts if it was worth it.
The S23 Ultra is still a bit faster than the N20, but even that wasn't slow and I never experienced the system itself stuttering (aside from the Edge browser).

The display is beautifully legible even in direct sunlight.
The smaller curvature of the display is definitely better.
The fingerprint is much faster and easier to use compared to the N20U.
It slides terribly, definitely needs some sort of sleeve.
The S-pen is only black, so it's easier to lose.
The design hasn't changed much from the S22 Ultra, and I'd say the phone is a bit similar to the Note 10+ my wife has.
