I am very happy with the new Samsung S26 after the first few days. The phone is incredibly fast, has a top-notch display with true-to-life colours and the camera takes perfect pictures even in low light. The design looks luxurious and the phone is comfortable to hold. The only minor minus is that some of my older professional apps had a problem transferring from the old device, but that will probably be resolved with an update. Overall, this is an excellent mobile that I can definitely recommend to anyone looking for maximum performance.
Good processing quality
It holds well

Too bad he can't have privacy like his big brother
I chose the Samsung Galaxy S26 mainly because of its compact size and compatibility with QuadLock cases. QuadLock doesn't support virtually any other Androids besides the Samsung S series and Google Pixels. I was switching from the Samsung S22 and wanted to keep similar dimensions, so I was considering the S25, S26 and Pixel 10.
I ruled out the S25 because of the pre-order bonuses on the S26, so in the final analysis I was left with a dilemma between the S26 and the Pixel 10. I opted for the S26 - mainly because of the new Exynos 2600 and the One UI, which has suited me better than pure Android in the long run.
The phone arrived with One UI 8.5 and honestly it's not quite what I expect from Samsung. You can see that the software is not quite ready yet. There are elements of pure Android in a few places, and some features look like they're done by Google. (Extend Unlock)
That wouldn't matter in itself, but every few days my Wi-Fi stops working and I have to switch to mobile data. I hope the move to One UI 9 will solve this. On the other hand, most of the time everything runs perfectly smoothly. The speed of the system and applications is excellent.
The Exynos 2600 was really good for Samsung. In more demanding games, it keeps FPS high and performance is stable. Admittedly, this turns the phone into a small direct heater, but that's almost inevitable in compact phones with a powerful chip. The important thing is that the power is really there.
The difference is most visible in the battery. I had to charge the S22 every night, otherwise it didn't last until the evening. The S26 can handle two days on a single charge with light to moderate use. I've seen this with the iPhone 17 and I'm glad Samsung can do it too.
The camera is reliable and the photos look very good. I wasn't expecting a revolution, especially from the 2023 lenses, but I'm getting consistent results that won't offend even the most demanding users. The only pity is that the macro is missing.
Choosing a phone is like choosing a car. Performance is fine, but at the end of the day, the most important thing is that it starts reliably and gets you where you need to go every day. Moore's law is dead, so we can no longer expect dramatic jumps in every generation.
The Galaxy S26 is a small, solid and powerful flagship. The only thing stopping it from being a really great phone now is the unfinished software. If Samsung quickly releases One UI 9 and fixes bugs and adds missing features, this device will be exactly what I expected from it.
I bought this phone knowing that in terms of parameters it is not the best value purchase on the market. The charging speed could, or rather should, be higher. The display resolution could also be higher, although the display looks very nice. The battery could also be bigger and the cameras, which have been identical for several years, need not be mentioned. But even so, the photos and videos are perfectly adequate for the needs of the ordinary user. However, from the user side, there is nothing to complain about, the phone looks premium, fits beautifully in the hand, is light. The system is fast, the fingerprint reader is reliable and the battery holds up thanks to good optimization. I can't rate the AI features because I don't have enough experience with using them yet. But even though I am aware of the various shortcomings I bought this phone and I am perfectly happy with it.
Overall, I was very pleasantly surprised by the phone. A big plus is its shape, size and weight The device is comfortable in the hand, not unnecessarily heavy and looks compact. I also really like the software, especially the look of the Samsung One UI, which is clear, modern and easy to use. Another strong point is the cameras and the quality of the photos which is excellent both in daylight and in low light. The only major minus I see is the charging speed. The phone only supports 25W wired charging, which is a rather slower standard than some competing phones today. Overall, however, I am very happy with the phone.

Transition from S24. It's more nimble and doesn't mind being a little bigger. I'm a casual user, so it's important to me that he kept the min. the standard I was already used to. But we would have welcomed more battery life and magnetic charging right in the phone, even if the phone were to be a bit wider again. It's a shame.

I switched after two years from S24 and I can definitely tell the difference. I expected the graphics to be the same when I had the last AI, but I can see the differences, but that's more my personal impression. Some items have been improved, which is pleasing. Also AI features, though I don't use them that often. The bigger storage was important to me and I got it at a discounted price. And I don't mind that it's a little bigger. You get used to it, even though my hands are pretty small.

There is probably nothing to fault him. The last few years have been all about small steps forward. We'll see how Exynos behaves after prolonged use.

I've been playing with the phone for a few days and here are a few observations from the transition from the S24 to the S26. Smart Switch is a good helper in the Samsung ecosystem when transferring data to a new phone, it will transfer almost everything. You just have to log in again, set up your banking and wallet. Then a couple of Google apps also need to be reinstalled for the Gemini link to work properly, for me it was Google Maps, Keep, Google App and Google Home. I don't know why, but without reinstalling it, Assistant popped up instead of Gemini. Now to the new S26 phone. The OneUI 8.5 body nice, everything is smooth, offers a lot of customization options. The system is stable and so far I haven't encountered any major glitches or bugs. It's a more powerful chip, more storage space compared to the S24, more memory. Galaxy AI inconsistent when English is not available, which I don't understand why, when Swedish is available and they have +/- the same population. It's not that I don't speak English, but in everyday use it's better to communicate in the native language. Bixby is about nothing and why the extra Perplexity I have no idea. What saddens me is the same camera, no progression, and that mentioned charging, that they didn't speed it up a bit also hurts. The lack of magnets doesn't matter, they make the cases with a magnet and that solves it. Battery life is surprisingly good so far. The workmanship, yeah, that's pretty good. Overall an excellent phone, the transition from the S24 doesn't dazzle, on the other hand after transferring data to the new phone you get a mirrored setup, and a familiar environment, which is fine.

I got the phone as a gift, an upgrade after almost four years of using the Samsung Galaxy S22. The new phone is slightly larger, but not significantly so, so it's still comfortable to use. The main problem I had with my old phone was its battery, which didn't hold much from the start and has gotten worse over the years, and always having to walk around with a powerbank or run to charge it in the afternoon isn't very convenient. Overall, the phone gives a positive impression. Compared to the S22, there are more display and colour options. The camera definitely shoots sharper photos and processing them much faster than the S22, even when shooting at night. At the same time, although the camera parameters haven't changed much, the colour rendering has definitely changed. The photos used to be warmer, now they look colder to me. This is generally neither good nor bad, just different. Also, the phone defaults to making photos too bright for my taste, even during the day. It happens that you see one photo in the viewfinder and after immediate processing the result is completely different, clearer, which is not always desirable. But maybe that will be fixed with future updates.
Also, the fingerprint reader works better compared to the S22 and is fully functional even after the protective glass is applied to the display.
It's a shame that there's no privacy technology like on the S26 Ultra, because not everyone wants a big phone, but maybe we'll see similar functionality in future series and in the regular model.
Overall I am very happy, I still have to get used to the changes, but they seem to be for the better: )
Almost instant photo processing, even in night mode
Photos look much sharper
Fingerprint reader works reliably even through protective glass
More colour and display options
Battery life is much better than the S22
The camera after processing too much lightens even daytime photos
While it's not particularly noticeable, the phone has gotten bigger, which may be a drawback for those who prefer compact phones

I compare with the S23 model in the same base.
The battery will last longer, but we will see in 2 years.
The display is brighter and easier to read outdoors, glare is almost not visible Photos during the day similar, evening and night better. AI integration good, handles a lot of things, new AI 8.5 is clear and "nicer"
Fluidity in apps feels better too - more memory is just noticeable
Slight negatives (now compared to competitors) are slower charging and, compared to the S26 Ultra, the lack of Privacy Display
More memory and better price than the S25
Battery life
display, brightness and glare
AI
charging is still slower and only 25W
unnecessary increase in size to 6.3
