After switching to the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra 512 GB, I have a very good impression so far. It's the kind of phone where you can tell it's a flagship - virtually everything feels fast, high-quality and well thought out. The first thing that really stands out is the display. It's big, extremely sharp, and the 120Hz refresh rate makes everything from everyday use to watching videos incredibly smooth. The brightness is very high, so the display is easy to read even outdoors in the sun, and the colours are typically "samsung" bold. A bit confusing though was the marketing around the colour depth of the panel. When the phone was launched, it looked like a real 10-bit panel, but it's actually an 8-bit panel with FRC colour simulation. Honestly - I don't notice it in practice and the picture still looks great. It's more of an unfortunately communicated technicality. The performance is exactly what one expects from a top model. The phone is extremely fast, apps open instantly and multitasking is absolutely seamless. The 512GB of storage is also a very nice reserve - I don't have to think about space for photos, videos or apps at all. The camera is also a big plus. Photos are very detailed, have good dynamic range and Samsung traditionally excels in zoom. For casual photography, it really is one of the best phones I've had in my hands. So far, the battery feels very solid and the phone handles a full day of normal use without any problems. Charging is also relatively fast. The design is classically "Ultra" - the phone is large, premium and looks really robust. On the other hand, it is a relatively large and heavier device, so it may not fit everyone. In summary, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is a very hilarious phone. It has a great display, top performance, excellent camera and huge storage. If someone is looking for one of the best Android phones on the market and doesn't mind the larger size, this is a very good choice in my opinion.
