After years on iOS, I decided to make a change and got the S26 Ultra. First day of use and impressions are very strong. The biggest shock is the display and the freedom of the system - that anti-glare layer on the display is something I've always missed on the iPhone, in the sunlight it's absolutely incomparable.
​What I'm enjoying the most so far:
​Display and design: The phone is huge, but the rounded edges make it hold better than I expected. The image quality is top-notch.
​S Pen: I thought it was just crap, but after a few hours I find it's a brilliant tool for quick notes and photo editing.
​System options: Android is somewhere else here than I remembered. I can customize everything, which is a refreshing change.
​What I'm missing or annoyed about so far:
​Data transition: The transfer from iOS isn't quite 100% smooth, I had to manually troubleshoot a few things.
​Charging: Even though it's faster than the iPhone, I was still hoping for even more progress given the price.
​Package: The lack of a charger in the package just annoys me for such an expensive phone, it is unfortunately the same mischief at Apple.
