I've only had them for a short time, but my first impressions are good. The display is beautifully bright and readable, they're slim so they fit nicely under a sleeve without catching, and so light you barely know you're wearing them. Plus, on the first night, the sleep and wake detection was great, accurate to within a few minutes, and it also did an excellent job detecting when I woke up and got out of bed during the night to close the window during a storm. Unfortunately, I don't have a Samsung phone, so a few things don't work and there's a duplication of apps from Google and Samsung, plus you can't uninstall the Samsung apps from the watch. But you can get used to that. As for battery life, after the first day, it's a classic Wear OS watch with no option to switch to RTOS, meaning it was charged last night and after 24 hours, there's about 30 percent left. But that's more or less normal; AW and other Wear OS watches are the same.

I'm switching to this watch from the Galaxy Watch6 Classic. I have to say that even though I used the rotating bezel very often, surprisingly, I don't miss its absence so far. The biggest difference is the weight – it's almost half that of the Watch6 Classic. This, along with the different strap attachment, makes the watch much more comfortable to wear. In addition, when sleeping, the bottom sensor emits almost no light (even when it's on), which was quite noticeable on its predecessor. The much higher performance means the watch responds almost instantly, which is a great plus. I'm less keen on the side buttons, which are significantly less prominent than before, but that's probably just a matter of getting used to it. For me, the biggest weakness so far is the vibration – it feels about half as strong as on the Watch6 Classic. The design is obviously a subjective matter, but the watch definitely looks better in person than in the renders.
