After 3–4 years, I've swapped my Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 for the new Flip8. I was extremely happy with my old phone – it didn't have a single fault the entire time, so choosing another Flip was a clear decision for me. Besides, I've loved the flip phone style since 20 years ago. The new Flip8 was a pleasant surprise right out of the box. It's thinner, looks more elegant, and thanks to the wider display, it's easier for me to type and read on. A big plus for me is also that the crease in the middle of the display is almost unnoticeable compared to the Flip5. Overall, the phone seems really well-made. I've only been using it for a short time, so I don't want to comment on the battery or long-term durability yet. But so far, I haven't found any downsides. If it's as reliable as my Flip5, I'll be absolutely delighted. The only disadvantage is probably the higher price, but that's something you expect with this range of phones.
Less visible display crease – compared to the Galaxy Z Flip5, the groove in the middle is almost unnoticeable.
Visually, it's nicer than the 5 - slimmer, yet the display is wider. It feels sturdy.
