The rice cooker is quick, made from high-quality materials, doesn’t let the rice stick, and keeps the rice warm for a long time. Unlike with ordinary rice cookers, nothing splatters anywhere whilst it’s cooking. On the other hand, I find it a shame there’s no drip tray, as water can run down to the lid hinge when the lid is opened. The cooking process is awkwardly displayed on the screen, appearing as a line running along the edge of the screen. The value for money is adequate.

It does take up a bit more space on the hob, but given that both my husband and son love rice, a smaller one wouldn’t have been worth it. I also tried making porridge and stock, and it went well, although for me these functions are more of a bonus on the rice cooker. It took me a while to get used to the long warm-up, during which a spinning wheel just appears on the screen; I wasn’t quite sure what was happening, but once it’s warmed up, everything goes very quickly. It’s a shame it has to be washed by hand; it would be great if the pot could go in the dishwasher. But it’s actually really easy to wash, so it doesn’t matter that much.
