I bought it primarily for a PC to listen to music for work. He plays great bass, too much. There is no PC application available from the manufacturer, such as an equalizer, the bass frequency can be reduced in the sound settings system. Personally, I'd say a better choice than the JBL GO3/GO4. He completely stomped his XB13 predecessor into the ground. Compared to the JBL GO3 / GO4, the XB100 has more pronounced and thicker bass at the expense of mids and highs and more than double the sustain. I find the JBL to be cleaner and probably a bit louder on the speaker, but the bass is lacking compared to the XB100. One can make a call with him without the other party complaining about poor delivery. Thanks to the design, it's "spatial" and you don't have to have it pointed at you. The GO3 bounces around on the table when you put it on its back, speaker up. It depends on personal preference. For me, the winners (within the category) were bass, battery life, microphone, ability to pair with another speaker, and construction.
