Just a nitpicky little thing - it doesn't have a switch to keep it from running in standby. Solved for a few crowns by a switch on the power cord.
When controlling in a regular mobile player or in a TV not connected via hdmi there are relatively large jumps in volume levels. If you want more subtle steps, the solution is to use the connection via the mentioned hdmi to the tv (controlled by the tv remote), in the mobile app of the manufacturer or you can also tune it with the remote control to the soundbar. So it's solvable.

The soundbar is quite well crafted and surprisingly sounds quite decent (not for audiophiles, though). On a very positive note, the current firmware update for the soundbar can also be updated via Bluetooth via APP. If I had to summarize my impressions: The system does its job very well and especially given the low price, there is a very clear recommendation to buy. However, you should mount the soundbar at listening height. While you obviously can't compare the TCL system to expensive systems, you get really good sound for your money that can very well keep up with systems that cost more than twice as much. And I thought of one more comment about the remote control - it's small, but it has all the functions you need, e.g. direct buttons for individual sources (this is often not common even with significantly more expensive systems).
