The iron had a manufacturing defect, which is why I claimed it. The one that was replaced had the same defect, and I have seen the same problem with other Tefal irons that I went to the brick-and-mortar store for reference. I definitely do not recommend buying this brand online at this time, apparently the quality control workers are on strike. I considered Tefal to be a reliable brand, but after this experience I will choose another one. However, I am satisfied with the handling of the claim/complaints and communication from Alza, thank you.
