Subjective reviews (objective data is available everywhere): I bought the phone as a replacement for a 3-year-old Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S 64GB. The motivation for the replacement was the need for an e-SIM, more storage on the device. I chose Xiaomi again because it's something I was already familiar with. Compared to the older model, I also improved with RAM (you can tell the apps are not "killing" right after I click to another, which happened with 10S with 6 GiB RAM) and camera (in this respect I am not very knowledgeable or extra demanding). But I was surprised to find that several years and price levels up from the original model, I also encountered the negatives below, which subjectively strike me as a big step backwards. I am satisfied with the phone, although I found the old model better in basically everything except the main motivators.

"Swipe down" is now split depending on which half of the screen is swiped from - either to show notifications or the "command center" (WiFi control, brightness, etc. ). In older versions of the software it was possible to enable the classic unified view, but not anymore. I think it's the worst thing ever invented.
Worse battery life (I'm not a hardcore user, so typically my phones lasted a few days on one full charge, now I subjectively find it much worse).
Everything looks "bigger" on the display. Although the phone is roughly the same height and width, the text and icons look much larger. Probably due to the "high DPI" display. To compensate, I reduced the text size a little.
It looks unnecessarily angular and fat to me.
The cameras stand out too much (this is probably a tax on the quality of the camera, but that's a less important parameter for me).
