I bought the phone as a temporary until the new Iphone 16 comes out. Honestly, I' m very pleasantly surprised. I was expecting total tragedy when I bought a 3k android, but it really seems serviceable so far. The phone is packed in a classic box without any frills with a picture of the phone. Immediately upon unpacking, I was impressed by the foil stuck on the display, and the included transparent, silicone cover, which will protect the phone' s body well. Unfortunately, the cover offers almost no protection for camera lenses. It is raised in the same way as the photo modules. Fits solid. It " creaks" a little here and there when pressed in the upper right corner, but nothing that can' t be handled. The box also contained a USB-A -> USB-C cable and a needle for removing the SIM/memory slot. cards. The cable supports 25Watt charging. It' s great that the manufacturer didn' t add some basic cable that wouldn' t support fast charging like the phone.
The design phone does not look bad at all. It has a shiny plastic back that shines nicely and is probably trying to be imitation glass. Related to this is the fact that the back is literally prone to fingerprints, but since a cover is included in the package, I don' t consider this to be a big deal.
The cameras look really huge, but on closer inspection you will find that there are actually two tiny cameras inside the phone.
After turning on the phone and setting up the phone, an environment with a lot of customization options is waiting for you at first glance. The phone worked absolutely perfectly for the first 5 minutes. Then all the updates, both pre-installed apps and the software itself, started downloading. During the updates, the phone got quite hot, which wouldn' t be too bad. Worse, he was almost unusable during that time. For a while I was literally cursing myself for buying it again for nothing. After the updates finished, the phone restarted and everything seemed to be OK. Some lag here and there, later loading of icons when searching and similar ailments. I uninstalled an estimated 7-10 pre-installed applications, unfortunately some applications cannot be uninstalled. It totally annoys me. I don' t want to root my phone just to get rid of the crap that sends me notifications ads. Speaking of ads, I' ll admit it, I' m a little disillusioned that the phone keeps bombarding you with ads for crap that you really don' t need.
I was switching from an iPhone so I switched to " Gestures" instead of navigation keys. The gestures are probably copied from iPhones because I' m exactly the same. But it was an advantage for me and I didn' t have to get used to other habits.
Where the gestures unfortunately let down is their reliability. Sometimes when you have multiple apps open in the background, the phone freezes for a while and doesn' t respond to gestures at all until you lock and unlock the phone again. It' s quite frustrating and happens quite often. It also seems to me a rather big tragedy of operating memory management and aggressive shutdown/sleeping of applications running in the background. I only had 4 apps running in the background and I had internet banking open in my browser. I switched to messenger to copy the account number of an acquaintance and when I returned to the browser, I found that I had to log into the bank again because the phone reloaded the page. It's annoying.
In reality, 3-4 applications can run on the phone without closing or being refreshed after being called up. Fortunately, this is not the case for all applications on the phone, but it is for the more demanding ones.
Another ailment of the phone is search, it' s a complete tragedy. With a swiping gesture from about the center of the screen downwards, you call up the search, just like on iPhones, before you can start searching, you will be stuck for a moment (almost every time), add to this that it takes a while for the keyboard to load and then you can only start typing text. After entering text, e. g.: hours, or any other name you are looking for, the application will be searched almost immediately and will appear at the top of the search. That' s all great, but it' s all ruined by the fact that you search for an app, it shows up at the top, you click on it, but then a quarter of a second before that, the entire search is moved down one position by an embedded ad for another app that opens the app store. I absolutely drool over it every time. I use the search quite often, but when the manufacturer sabotages it like this and shoves you an advertisement instead of searching, it' s even more stupid that you just click on it. Well, no comment.
I don' t play games so I don' t really know what to say about it. In any case, if you turn on a YouTube video in the background in the browser, and you want to use another application for that, the system delay will increase quite a bit and the phone will no longer seem so brisk. Overall, it probably won' t be suitable for games or more demanding games.
The cameras are at their best, meh meh. It' s not exactly a tragedy and if you can stand still for something between 0.5 - 2.0 seconds, you' ll capture a nice photo here and there. Unfortunately, all it takes is a micro-movement of the hand and the photo is goofy. I don' t know if it' s due to the bad processor taking time to process the data from the cameras, but it' s another annoying thing. Focusing the cameras is also not much. Add to that the fact that the people in the photos from this phone are totally retouched (from both the rear and front cameras) and look like you ironed someone' s face. Can' t turn it off and looks terrible. The " correction of photos" is unnecessarily too strong.
As for networks, GPS, etc., I have nothing to complain about the phone. The network/wifi/gps catches absolutely reliably and I have nothing to complain about the phone. In addition, navigation does not eat up the battery so much, which is a significant plus.
Battery-life is really good. I charge every 1.5-3 days. It really surprises me and I' m not used to it. The phone lets you limit the maximum charge to 80%, which should extend battery life in the long run.
What surprised me extremely about the phone is the clarity of the calls. The sound is absolutely great when it comes to calls. As for the microphone, when I asked, the other party said that they could hear me really well. By the way, I really like the sound much better than I had on the iPhone 12 pro. This is a really different league.
I don' t know what more I can write. Hopefully, the phone will last at least a few months with me and I will definitely keep it as a spare or as a car navigation system.
Even if it has its ailments, it is really usable. After the neck-breaking " lag-fest" at the beginning, it somehow stabilized and, apart from the things listed above, I have nothing to complain about. P. S: the phone' s haptics are a downright tragedy. I had to turn it off right after the start.
