It is audible at higher revs, but it is a very pleasant, non-distracting kind of "whine". And from medium speed up it moves the air in the room noticeably, so it works as a fan for hot days.
The app generally works well and reliably and can obviously control many devices.
The app can't change the speed to a selected level within a scenario, which I would appreciate. At least, I couldn't find it in the app current as of the review date.
