Security Class I is a certification for safes according to the European standard EN 1143-1, which specifies a basic level of protection against burglary. Every safe with this certification has undergone rigorous tests in an accredited testing laboratory, where its resistance to forcible entry attempts using defined tools was verified. Class I specifies the minimum time the safe must withstand these attempts. Based on this resistance, the recommended insured value for storage is determined, which typically ranges in the hundreds of thousands of Czech crowns for cash and valuables. Safes of this class are suitable for households or smaller businesses for storing documents, smaller amounts of cash, and items of lower value.
