I bought as a replacement for a 10 year old square ASUS, which unfortunately had reached the end of its service life. That's why I was looking for something with a DVI input so I wouldn't have to redo the wiring. There aren't many monitors like that anymore, this one (with QHD resolution) was the cheapest. With DVI it only works at 1920x1080, but that's still a big upgrade over the original: -)

The monitor is great for everyday PC work mainly because of the higher resolution than just FHD. Too bad it doesn't support connecting devices via USB-C, but that would cost a lot more money and I've only found FHD monitors in the 24" size with this feature. So I would still prefer to use this one and connect it via DP or HDMI, or use a HUB. A fine monitor for work at a great price. For games, I would choose from others.
