Well I bought it based on relatively positive reviews (I was looking for a 32" TV) as a TV for the bedroom. But when I switch from the living room (where I have a UHD Samsung) to this Sharp TV in the bedroom, the difference in picture quality is very noticeable. Sharp has a blurry picture, even on HD stations, the colours are not realistic and cannot be adjusted much. The sound quality is also not good, no matter which preset you choose. The controller is very plain in plastic and lacks some buttons that are normally found on regular controllers (such as play, stop, pause, rew, ff or P+ and P- buttons). Well, I didn't want to spend money on Samsung, so I got a cheap but quality TV.

I'm returning the promising looking TV after a short trial. It did not meet basic expectations, the fundamental problem is low brightness. My 4K monitor at my computer is 600 nits and the difference in brightness against the Sharp TV is quite noticeable. A comparative measurement with a lux meter with the backlight set to 100% on both devices confirmed a ratio of almost 1:2. Add to this the other shortcomings I have encountered, and the verdict is clear. Even QLEDs can't pull it off. I need a TV for daylight viewing and with the ability to show discernible detail even in old and generally darker movies and shows.
