so after about 5 months of using the TV and eternal contact with Philips support, I have 100 appetites to return this overpriced piece of crap. Since the beginning, there have been about 4 Android updates, but no user-perceived problem has been fixed (so such placebo updates). The TV turns itself on (for example at 3:26 am, etc. ) and it just stays on until morning until you turn it off. Philips support instructed me to run a debug log on a flash usb drive, this I did and of course I read the logs. and, surprise, surprise, they're full of shit. they just have no idea what's causing it. Another thing is to start the TV from standby mode. so 3-4 a week happens that I turn on the TV, the Android Dashboard boots up, after 5s the demo Ambilight TV boots up, the lights play all the colors of the world, then the TV boots up the Android Dahsboard again and after 5s comes a hard reboot when the TV boots up and completely reloads the Android system from the ground up including the Philips superstructure.
perfect picture
sound quality (although I have a TV connected to a Denon home theater, so I don't use the built-in speaker)
Android 12 (google tv) finally supports at the driver level the connection usb 3.0 network giganbit adapter RJ45 (at least so with the chipset RTL8153)
remote control with battery and USB-C charging
Wi-Fi standard AX. probably almost replaces gigabit lan
4GB of RAM is already known
in 2022, support for HUE equipment (resp. lights) that I had synchronized on my previous TV (oled873/12), so you won't find the "Ambilight + HUE" setting on the TV anymore. but the application is still present in the installed system applications.
to run the already overpriced HUE lights, it is necessary to run the Hyperion-NG or HyperHDR server (I run virtualized on Synology NAS) and then you need to upload the "hyperion-android-grabber" application (release tv-release. apk)
flash memory capacity is still only 16GB. the user has only 5GB available. The previous OLED873 TV had 10GB available
Previously, there were 2 remotes, one full and one compatible. only one is included here and it doesn't even have numbers (but you can use an older philips driver)
KODI traffic is already much more agile, but it still crashes (loses configuration), probably better to buy "Google streamer 4k or Nvidia shield"
