After spending a long time choosing and comparing dozens of models, I finally went for the TCL 65T8C, and I have to say I’m absolutely delighted with it. I had clear requirements – a 65-inch screen, smooth picture quality for football, a snappy system, Netflix, Disney+, Skylink and the best possible value for money. After using it for a few days, I can say that this TV has lived up to all my expectations. The biggest surprise for me was how fast Google TV was. I was a bit worried based on my previous experiences with Android TV, but the system is actually very snappy, well-organised and responsive. Switching between apps and launching Netflix, Disney+, YouTube or Skylink is hassle-free and without any unnecessary waiting. Another big plus is the smoothness of the picture. I watch football very often, and that’s precisely why I didn’t want a standard 60Hz TV. The TCL 65T8C, with its 144Hz panel, handles sports broadcasts brilliantly. The camera movement is smooth, the picture is clear, and watching matches is a much more enjoyable experience than on standard televisions in this price range. The painting was also a very pleasant surprise. The QLED panel offers beautiful colours, excellent contrast and a sharp 4K picture. Films and TV series on Netflix and Disney+ look brilliant; the HDR content is beautifully rendered, and watching them in the evening is a real treat. At this price, I certainly wouldn’t have expected such a high-quality picture. The sound deserves praise too. The built-in sound system performs exceptionally well for a TV of this size, and a soundbar isn’t at all necessary for everyday viewing. After thoroughly researching the market, I couldn’t find any other 65-inch TV in a similar price range that offered a combination of a 144Hz panel, QLED picture quality, Google TV, excellent motion smoothness and such a user-friendly interface.

Overall, I am very happy with TCL. It's my first, I've only ever had Samsung or LG. I was intrigued by the price and the support of all the technologies to fully utilize the PS5 Pro. The TV has its flaws thanks to weak plastics that don't keep the screen perfectly flat and it tends to curl up at the corners when tilted. But fortunately the viewing angles are the same even when the TV is level and not pointing directly at me. I give 4 stars for a top notch TV for the money and minus 1 star for weaker plastics that twist the screen when tilted.
