The new power connector on graphics cards may be a brilliant example of miniaturisation, but it’s a bit like hunting a bear with an air rifle. You then attach the giant adapter to the small connector and bend it into shape, and all you can do is hope it works out. It’s a bit like installing an ultra-heavy graphics card into a PCIe slot – ideally one without a metal brace or rear support. It won’t work out either, and it’ll all come crashing down at some point. As far as I’m concerned, this is the only sensible way to protect the power connector from being snapped off by the weight of the cables. In my opinion, the old technology was larger, but it was more durable.
A brilliant and sensible alternative to the standard adapter for the Gigabyte RTX 5070 Ti Master.
It works on the first connection.
