After switching from the Ryzen 9 7900X, I was pleasantly surprised by just how much of an impact the 3D V-Cache has on gaming performance. Although the Ryzen 5 7500X3D only has 6 cores and 12 threads, it performs better in games than my previous 12-core 7900X. Depending on the game, my FPS increased by around 10 to 80 per cent. I’ve also had the chance to use the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, and the difference between these processors is minimal during normal gaming, usually just a few per cent. I’m running the processor with PBO enabled and Curve Optimizer set to -35. As a result, it consistently maintains a frequency of around 4.55 GHz whilst keeping power consumption very low. At full load, it draws up to 65 W. When used in combination with the Endorf Navis F360 water-cooling system, temperatures remain below 60 °C. With an RTX 3080 running at Full HD resolution, the processor can utilise the graphics card to over 90% capacity in most games. Given its price of 5,190 Kč, I consider the Ryzen 5 7500X3D to be one of the most appealing options for gamers.
